I want to thank all of you for your help and advice, but sadly Fuzzy died this morning. I was up until 2:00 a.m with him and he was not hardly breathing. Got up this morning at 6:30 and he was gone. Also, my son had found that I had written in a book that Fuzzy was born in in the fall of 1991, so he was older than I had previously thought. I guess he lived a pretty long life but it's still hard. Thanks again for all of your support and good luck with all of your little critters.

Thank you everyone. I did get awfully attached to Fuzzy as I was the one to feed him and clean his cage and everything. I am feeling pretty sad, but hanging in there.
I do appreciate your kind words.

The thought did cross my mind about getting another one, but I doubt I'll get another chinchilla. My kids are teenagers and will probably be gone within the next 5 years or so and we got Fuzzy for them. Actually, we got Fuzzy for my daughter because she had always wanted a dog, but I didn't want an animal running around the house, so we thought a chinchilla was a good alternative...she STILL wants a dog, although she's at college now. Anyway, I know time heals broken hearts. I'll keep coming back to your website and looking at your cute little chinnies. Thanks.
